TableTop simulation exercises
We’ll test your crisis response team and procedures in a safe, workshop-style simulation exercise before you have to do it during a real-world attack. Our facilitators will guide your crisis management team through a realistic attack scenario, verifying communication efficiency, decision-making and knowledge of procedures.
Are you sure your team knows what to do, or do you just assume they will read the manual in case of a crisis?
Your company has an incident response plan. It’s a 50-page document that sits on a company drive somewhere. But has anyone practiced it? In a real-life attack situation, under tremendous pressure, will your team know how to act, or will they start flipping responsibilities in a panic?
More than 95% of incident response plans contain errors that only come to light during a real crisis.
True story: how the response plan failed because no one knew it
A leak of customer data was discovered at a major financial company. An “incident response plan” was immediately activated. And then the chaos began.
It turned out that the crisis team’s contact list was outdated. The procedure for isolating systems was unclear to the IT team. The legal department and the PR department, having no developed communication patterns, issued contradictory statements. For the first crucial hours, instead of fighting the attack, the team fought itself.
The true value of a plan is verified not by how it is written, but how it is understood and executed by people under pressure. Having a plan is not the same as having readiness.
Our solution: safe “sparring” for your crisis team
Tabletop Exercises are interactive workshops where your crisis management team (IT, management, legal, PR, operations) sits around a table and “dry runs” through a realistic, moderated attack scenario. It’s the fastest, cheapest and safest way to find gaps in your procedures before a real crisis finds them.
Our approach is based on 3 pillars:
Dedicated threat scenarios
We create an attack scenario (e.g., ransomware, data leakage) tailored to your industry that is credible and presents a real challenge.
Professional moderation and simulation
Our facilitators lead the workshop, playing the role of attacker and media, introducing twists and escalating pressure to test the team.
“Lessons Learned” Report.
After the exercise, you receive a detailed report indicating strengths and weaknesses. We identify gaps in communication and procedures, recommending improvements.
Our workshop process in 5 steps
From an idea to a rehearsed and improved action plan.
Opening workshop and script selection
Together with you, we determine the goals of the exercise and choose the most appropriate threat scenario to test.
Development of the scenario and materials
Our team creates a detailed, minute-by-minute workshop scenario with supporting materials (e.g., fake emails, newspaper articles).
Conducting Tabletop workshops
We implement a workshop session (3-4h) with your crisis team. Our facilitator leads the narrative, and the team’s job is to respond.
Analysis of the course and preparation of the report
Based on observations and notes from the workshop, we analyze the team’s reactions and identify points where the process failed or could be improved.
Presentation of conclusions and recommendations
We discuss the results of the exercise with the team, presenting a “lessons learned” report and working together to update and improve your response plans.
What does your business gain? Proven readiness, not theory
