IBM FlashSystem 9500 – Enterprise Class Storage Array

Learn how this solution can increase the performance and reliability of your IT infrastructure, providing fast and secure access to data.

IBM FlashSystem 9500 is an All-Flash storage array using the NVMe protocol for communication, which allows for a significant increase in system performance compared to SAS technology. In a single device, we can place up to 48 IBM FlashCore cards (IBM’s unique technology). It is also possible to expand the array with additional all-ssd shelves using “standard” SSD drives.

Hardware Reliability - Confirmed Record!

In over 50 years of IBM mainframe server history, not a single hardware failure has been recorded!!!

The LinuxONE server is based on the IBM Z hardware platform. After decades of refinement, IBM has used it again, this time joining forces with the Open Source community. And why not! This server has documented, record reliability at a level close to 100% (seven “9s”).

Thanks to its reliability, availability, and scalability – the LinuxONE server provides quality unavailable in other technologies. This is determined by, among other things, redundant cores ensuring uninterrupted switching, the RAIM subsystem eliminating potential failures, and built-in comprehensive security and encryption mechanisms.

LinuxONE is particularly well suited for I/O-intensive applications. These operations are performed instead of by main processors, by dozens of dedicated IBM Power cores designed for fast I/O request handling.
