What is Fudo One?

In a smaller organization, the cybersecurity of privileged access is usually decided not by its own administrators but by its vendors: the ERP provider, the integrator and the hardware service company. Their sessions are the least documented, and that is where tidying up access should start.

Fudo One is a Fudo Security product that the vendor described as secure remote access designed with the needs of small and medium businesses in mind. Alongside the paid version there was a free edition, Fudo One Free, limited in the number of users and servers.

Offer status. Fudo One does not appear on the vendor’s current website: the former product, pricing and FAQ pages return a 404 error, and the portfolio covers Fudo Enterprise, Fudo ShareAccess and Fudo Connect. According to archived copies, the product disappeared from the website in the second half of 2025. We have found no public information from the vendor about a successor or a name change. That is why we confirm the availability, licensing and support of Fudo One — including for existing installations — with Fudo Security before every offer.

How did Fudo One work?

The description below comes from the vendor’s pages from 2023–2025.

Agentless access

  • Proxy/bastion architecture — no agents installed on servers
  • Connections with native clients or through the Fudo Web Client in a browser
  • A user portal with multi-factor authentication
  • Web Access Gateway with a built-in browser client for RDP, VNC and SSH

Session recording and supervision

  • Recording of RDP, SSH and VNC sessions
  • An administrator can join a session live, share it, pause it or terminate it
  • Searching recordings for keywords related to an incident

Multi-factor authentication

  • Users configure their own second login factor
  • A mobile app is connected with an OATH QR code in the User Access Gateway

Key Features

The vendor listed the following uses of Fudo One:

  • Centralized remote access to servers — through a user portal with MFA and a browser client
  • Protection against misuse by privileged users — active supervision and recording of sessions, with the ability to join them
  • Several administrators working together in one session — without third-party screen-sharing software
  • Post-incident analysis — recordings make it possible to establish who performed which actions
  • Training and review of vendor work — recordings as material for in-house training and for checking the configuration prepared by a contractor

The vendor also stated that Fudo One helps meet the requirements of PCI DSS, SOX, HIPAA, NIST, GDPR and ISA/IEC 62443.

What to choose today instead of Fudo One?

The vendor does not name a successor to Fudo One, so the list below is nFlo’s assessment based on the current product descriptions:

  • Fudo Connect — cloud-native secure remote access (SRA) with no hardware, appliances or virtual machines on the customer side. Every privileged session is recorded, and the component in the customer’s network connects outbound only, without opening inbound ports. The vendor addresses it to companies that want privileged access control without an infrastructure project and without a team of PAM specialists; the subscription depends on data storage capacity, not on the number of users.
  • Fudo Enterprise — when you need a password vault (Password Vault), AI behavioral analysis covering more than 1,400 features and a failover cluster.
  • Fudo ShareAccess — when vendor access is the main problem: a cloud platform with browser-based access, without VPN or agents, integrated with Fudo Enterprise.

Who is it for?

In nFlo’s assessment, this page is mainly for two groups:

  • Organizations that already use Fudo One — and need to plan the next step: confirm licensing and support with the vendor or prepare a move to another product in the Fudo family
  • Smaller IT teams looking for Fudo One — who should compare the vendor’s current products before deciding

According to the vendor, the free Fudo One Free edition covered 3 users and 3 servers, and the paid version up to 100 users and up to 100 servers. Above these limits, the vendor referred customers to the comparison with Fudo Enterprise.

FAQ

Is Fudo One still offered by the vendor? It is not on the current Fudo Security website — the former product pages return a 404 error, and the portfolio covers Fudo Enterprise, Fudo ShareAccess and Fudo Connect. The product disappeared from the website in the second half of 2025. We confirm availability with the vendor before every offer.

Is Fudo Connect a new name for Fudo One? The vendor does not describe it that way, and we have found no information about a name change. Fudo Connect is a separate product: cloud-native remote access with no hardware on the customer side.

What size of company was Fudo One for? The vendor designed it with small and medium businesses in mind. The free edition covered 3 users and 3 servers, the paid version up to 100 users and 100 servers.

How was it licensed? There was a free edition, Fudo One Free, and a paid annual subscription charged per user, with no option to cancel during the year. The vendor does not publish current terms.

Which protocols did it support? RDP, SSH and VNC. Other protocols — including HTTP(S), Telnet and Modbus — were assigned to Fudo Enterprise in the price list.

Could native clients be used? Yes. Users connected with native clients or through the Fudo Web Client in a browser.

How did MFA work? Users configured their own second factor by connecting a mobile app with an OATH QR code in the User Access Gateway.

What did support look like? For the free edition — a community channel on Discord. For the paid version — technical support (tickets, e-mail) under the Fudo One support plan. nFlo provides deployment and maintenance of Fudo solutions.

What to choose for a small team today? We most often compare Fudo Connect (cloud, no hardware, priced by data storage capacity) with Fudo Enterprise (password vault, AI analysis, cluster). The choice depends on the number of systems, audit requirements and whether vendors need access.

Why deploy Fudo One with nFlo?

  • Privileged account inventory — we establish who connects to your servers and with which accounts, including vendor accounts, before choosing a product.
  • Architecture and policy design — we check the status of Fudo One with the vendor and match a product from the current Fudo family to your scale and processes.
  • Deployment or migration — we launch the chosen product, carry over access and recording rules, and connect multi-factor authentication.
  • Maintenance and reviews — we update the platform, review permissions and handle incidents.

The stages and scope of work are described on the PAM Implementation service page.

You will find more about privileged access management in the identity and PAM knowledge base.
