What is Ivanti Neurons?

Ivanti Neurons is a cloud AI platform that automates IT management. It combines endpoint management, ITSM, and security in one portal. Main innovation is “self-healing” - computers automatically detect and fix problems.

Problem it solves:

  • Helpdesk flooded with tickets “computer slow”, “printer not working”
  • IT reactive - first problem, then fix
  • Silos - UEM, ITSM, security are separate systems
  • On-prem infrastructure requires management

Ivanti Neurons:

  • AI detects problem before user reports it
  • Automatically fixes common problems
  • One portal for IT ops, security, service desk
  • Cloud - no servers to manage

How does Self-Healing work?

Traditional approach:

AI and Predictive Analytics

Ivanti Neurons uses AI to:

1. Predict problems:

  • “This laptop will have disk problems within 30 days”
  • “These 50 computers are vulnerable to attack, priority patching”

2. Automate decisions:

  • “This ticket can be closed automatically (self-healing worked)”
  • “Route this report to security team, not helpdesk”

3. Recommendations:

  • “10% of devices have problem X, consider global action”
  • “Patch Y causing problems, hold deployment”

Hyper-Automation (Workflow)

Create automations without coding:

Capabilities:

  • Visual workflow designer (drag & drop)
  • Ready templates (onboarding, offboarding, patching)
  • Integrations (ServiceNow, Slack, Teams)
  • Triggers (event, schedule, ticket)

Who is it for?

Neurons MAKES sense when:

  • You want cloud-first (no on-prem servers)
  • Helpdesk overwhelmed - self-healing will relieve
  • Silos between UEM, ITSM, security
  • Want AI/ML without building from scratch

Neurons does NOT make sense when:

  • On-prem only requirements (regulations)
  • Small company (<200 devices) - may be overkill
  • Already have integrated stack (SCCM+ServiceNow)

FAQ

Does Neurons replace on-prem Endpoint Manager? It can, but doesn’t have to. You can have hybrid - Neurons cloud + on-prem for special requirements.

How does self-healing work? Agent collects metrics → AI analyzes → detects anomaly → triggers automatic fix (script, service restart, cleanup).

Does it require Ivanti on-prem? No. Neurons is standalone cloud. But can integrate with existing on-prem Ivanti.

How fast is deployment? Basic Neurons: days. Agent deployment to devices is main effort.

Does AI really work? Yes, but requires data. The longer it runs, the better predictions. Initially relies on Ivanti’s global patterns.

Does it integrate with ServiceNow? Yes. Bidirectional sync of tickets, CMDB, workflows.

What if self-healing doesn’t work? Escalation - creates ticket for IT with full context (what it tried, why it didn’t work).

Does nFlo deploy Neurons? Yes. Platform configuration, agent deployment, workflow creation, integrations.
