Alternative to:
- Microsoft SCCM/Intune
- ManageEngine Desktop Central
- PDQ Deploy
- Tanium

- A critical Windows patch came out - how to quickly deploy it to all machines?
- Audit - how many Adobe licenses do you have? What Java versions are installed?
- User calls with a problem - how to remotely see their screen?

Ivanti Endpoint Manager vs SCCM
| Feature | Ivanti | SCCM/MECM |
|---|---|---|
| Third-party patching | Built-in (3000+ apps) | Requires add-ons |
| macOS/Linux | Native | Limited |
| Console | Modern + legacy | Older |
| Complexity | Medium | High |
| Price | Per device | Included in Microsoft license |
| Cloud | Ivanti Neurons (option) | Intune |
When Ivanti instead of SCCM?
- Lots of third-party apps to patch
- macOS and Linux alongside Windows
- Want simpler administration
- Don’t have Microsoft Enterprise licenses
When SCCM?
- Full Microsoft stack (already have licenses)
- Advanced scenarios (OSD, Task Sequences)
- Integration with Intune for mobile
Who is it for?
Endpoint Manager MAKES sense when:
- • You have >500 workstations
- • You need patch management (Windows + third-party)
- • macOS/Linux in environment
- • Want one tool for inventory, patching, distribution
Endpoint Manager does NOT make sense when:
- • <100 computers - WSUS + PDQ may suffice
- • Full Microsoft - SCCM/Intune included
- • Cloud/mobile only - Ivanti Neurons better

FAQ
How is it different from SCCM? Ivanti has better third-party patching and macOS/Linux support. SCCM is more deeply integrated with Microsoft.
Can I migrate from SCCM? Yes. Ivanti can run in parallel. Gradual migration possible.
How does patch management work? Agent checks with server what needs to be installed → downloads → installs according to policy (e.g., at night, with or without restart).
Does it require an agent? Yes. Agent must be installed on each managed device.
What about devices outside the network (laptop at home)? Agent connects via internet (HTTPS). Works for remote workers.
How long does deployment take? Basic: weeks. Full with migration: months.
What is Ivanti Neurons for UEM? Cloud version of Endpoint Manager. Can work hybrid.
Does nFlo deploy Ivanti? Yes. Endpoint Manager deployments, patch management configuration, SCCM/WSUS migrations.
